The cost of living in Australia can be expensive, particularly in the southern cities of Sydney and Melbourne. Although Brisbane is cheaper than other capital cities in Australia it can still be seen as expensive when you are coming from overseas. Therefore, budgeting carefully is critical to life in Australia.

As a guide, students will need a minimum of $20,290 (excluding program fees) per year to cover accommodation, daily living costs, health services and other expenses. If your partner/spouse or child/ren will also be coming with you to Australia, you will need to ensure you have additional money to cover expenses for them as well. The Strategix campus is located on Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley, one of the main arteries into the city and is close to all modes of public transport, being only a few hundred metres from the train station and even closer for bus stops. Paid parking facilities are also close by. There are several new student accommodation blocks located very close to Brunswick Street, with hundreds of wonderful apartments available for rent which make walking to and from the campus easy.

Fortitude Valley is recognised as the entertainment district of Brisbane, with music venues, clubs and shopping facilities on our doorstep. The culture and fun of ‘China Town’ is only a few meters walk away. With Fortitude Valley being established as the most exciting place to live for young people in the city, our campus is ideally situated for students who want to study where there is a ‘buzz’ about the place, where Australian life can be experienced and enjoyed and where work opportunities exist for those who want to meet others and have fun.

The building is modern, with air conditioning and free internet throughout. in all classrooms, computer rooms a nd the library. Strategix General English Program is designed to assist students to communicate successfully in English both inside and outside the classroom.

Students will study all of the skill areas including reading, writing, listening, speaking vocabulary, pronunciationand grammar.

Strategix General English Program develops fluency, accuracy and confidence in English through structuredtext and task-based learning. Mock tests give students an understanding of their current English level and which areas need improvement.

The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care helps prepare and develop student’s skills for a range of early childhood educational settings. The course is developed within the Education and Care Services National regulations and the National Quality Standard.

Strategix Hospitality Program will prepare and develop students skills for a range of roles within this dynamic industry. Students gain valuable skills in barista, responsible service of alcohol, table service, gaming and front desk services. There are many opportunities in this exciting and challenging industry.
