Study Strategy For NMAT 2016

NMAT(Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test) is an entrance exam is for admission to all MBA full time courses of NMIMS Mumbai and all PGDM courses for NMIMS Hyderabad and Bengaluru.GMAC(Graduate Management Admission Council) is owner and administrator of NMAT exams.NMAT is conducted every year for intake of MBA aspirants for 2year full time course.

ABOUT NMAT

ELIGIBILITY

● Candidate must be a graduate with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in the first attempt.

● Candidates appearing for final year of Bachelor’s Degree/Equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed requirements and are awaiting results can also apply subject to clearing the final examination in the first attempt with 50% aggregate marks.

● For all full time programs,candidates with 2 or more years work experience will be preferred.

NMAT is a computer based exam. Number of questions,difficulty level and time allotment for each section is predetermined and under normal administration,are same regardless of where the test is taken. Following is the table which shows the marks wise and time wise distribution of each section-

● Counting from now, you have nearly 1 month left for the earliest exam slot to open.

● Study the NMAT BY GMAC OFFICIAL GUIDE in and out thoroughly. It is the book provided by the authorities and therefore the best book to do for the exam.

● Go through the last year’s papers since 20% of the paper is repeated every year.

● Follow the Facebook pages of NMAT or NMIMS for latest updates.● Do not vanish from facebook or other social media due to distraction

reasons. If you do so, you might end up missing out some really important stuff which is in circulation.

● Stay in contact with your friends who have appeared for NMAT in the previous year as they will help you with the “During the exam” strategies.

TIPS FOR NMAT 2016

● Do not panic for it being a very few days remaining for the exam. Stay calm and just keep studying hard.

● Do your formulas nicely and learn the tricks. The tricks will not only help you do your quants section quickly but also will make your calculations fast.

● Be well equipped on the day of your exam and reach the center in time.● NMAT OFFICIAL GUIDE will clearly brief you about the level of questions

asked and thus you can filter your study pattern accordingly.● In quants, do not skip Percentages, Averages, Probability and Permutations &

Combinations. These 4 topics hold the major crux of the Quantitative Aptitude section.

● Minimum 208 marks need to be scored by the candidate to clear NMAT.
