Course Description
This Module introduces the student to the main concepts and principals of Environmental
Graphic Design and its main categories Spatial, Branded and Signage & Way-Finding. In
addition, the student applies those principals of design in real life applications in designing
several places within the campus.
The Students will also be given challenging real world projects and assignments typical of
the environmental graphic design industry.
High quality work is expected and students will be given opportunities to redo work until it
meets standards specified during instruction. Classroom activities will include reading,
research, Environmental Graphic Design projects, and problem solving. Students will often
work in teams, but will be expected to complete individual assignments in relation to the
team's work. Assessment methods will include, tests, and quizzes and homework Projects.
By the end of the course, the students will be executing Advertising projects that
incorporate Cognitive, practical and technical skills.
Course Goals and leaning objectives
1- Cognitive skills
a- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the elements of Environmental graphic design
b- demonstrate an understanding of Environmental graphic design principles
c- Read, understand and communicate in the language of Environmental Graphic Design.
d- Students will learn to solve Design problems using critical thinking.
e- Students will be able to conduct a thorough research related to their design Project.
2- Practical Skills
a- The students will be able to execute high quality of Environmental Graphic Designs

develop their Designs.
6-Library Visits: To encourage the students to read and gain up to date information about
the current trends of Environmental Graphic Design. This Module introduces the student to
