State Endodontic Associations The concept of state affiliate associa- tions had its genesis in the need to find ways of increasing "grass roots" com- munication and participation in Asso- ciation affairs. Theoretically, the AAE- recognized affiliates will respond to local problems--legal, legislative, in- surance-related, or political--with the support of the national organization. In this way, these associations are distinct from study clubs, which are fundamentally apolitical, organized for the purpose of scientific study and social interaction.
