What Was use for the study
LIGHT MICROSCOPY and Morphometric methood was used for the study.
FINDINGSCONTROL group• Normal• Normal
EXPERIMENTAL GROUP• Rats killed 7 days after
injection,number of chief cell droped by 13% compared to the Contro group.
• Area of zymogenic cells and their nucleus was less by 12% and 15% compare to the control group
Common Findings
IN BOTH GROUPS THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF PARIETAL CELLS AND THE AREA OF THEIR NUCLEUS WAS THE SAME.
RESULT OF CYCLOFERONE ON OLD RATS AFTER 7 DAYS

At Day 15, and 30 changes in the number and morphometric parameters of the chief and parietal cells were not revealed.
Result on the 15th Day
BY DAY 90
By the 90th Day, Parietal cells showed an increase in number by 42%, but morphometric data did not show any increase in functional activity.
At the End of the experiment
Parietal cells inceased by 21% and the chief cells increased by 28%.But there was not difference in data of area and diameter of cell between experimental and control group.
SYNOPSIS LEADING TO OUR CONCLUSION
Ageing leads to decrease response of the cells to cytokines.,also gene expression of the IL-2 descrease with ageing of the immune system. But exogenous IL-2 restores the ability of CD4+ to respond by proliferation through the Transforming growth factor. TGF alpha,play a role in the regulation of acid secretion and mucosal renewal in the stomach of old rats.therefore we suggest t
IN CONCLUSION
We suggest that cycloferon activate T- cells (CD4 + lymphocytes) that produce IL- 2 which via the TGF-α expressed by stomach chief and parietal cells mediate proliferation of secretory cells to the end of experiment.
