• It is illegal to download copyrighted material (Music, Movies, Software,Books, etc.) via peer-to-peer or other methods of file sharing (without expressed consent).
• RIAA - Recording Industry Association of America safeguards the Music Industry and Recording Artists
• MediaSentry – Safeguards the Movie, Television, and Software industry.
• West Georgia is alerted via email whenever illegal downloading is detected by these companies and is required to track down and report the offending system/user.
