THe TeXAs sTATe PHARMACY, located inside the Student Health Center is a fully-licensed pharmacy. It is available only to students. As a non-profit establishment, the pharmacy offers your over-the-counter and prescription medications at discounted prices.

SERvICE• Patient education on prescription drug-use is important. Aside from offering medications at reasonable prices, SHC pharmacists can also answer questions about medications.

• To receive service, please bring your Texas State Student ID card.

PAYMenTThe only insurance accepted by the pharmacy is the Texas State optional student insurance plan. However, many of the prescription prices are less than the co-pay at a retail pharmacy. Prices are available for comparison upon request.

Methods of payment include: Bobcat Bucks, cash, check, and all major credit cards.

PRESCRIPTIONS• Students may fill their prescriptions from both outside medical providers and on-site medical providers.

• Prescriptions and refills must be picked up within seven working days, or they will be returned to stock. The pharmacy will not call you. It is your responsibility.

REFILL A PRESCRIPTION• For refills, call (512) 245.3590, and be prepared with your Texas State Student ID number.

• Adderall refills must be approved by a medical provider every time. Please contact your medical provider for Adderall refills.

TRANSFER A PRESCRIPTION• To transfer a prescription to the Texas State Pharmacy from another pharmacy, present the prescription label from your last fill, and the pharmacy staff will make the transfer.

• If the label is not available, please provide the following information: 1) Name and phone number of pharmacy that has prescription on file 2) Name of patient and date of birth 3) Name of medication or prescription number
