• Why???– Students need to know

what they are expected to know and/or do as a result of your instruction

– When others enter your room, they need to know what you expect your students to know and/or do as a result of your instruction

What Should be on My Whiteboard Every Day?

Daily Strategic Agenda

Standards: Write out the standard & standard number

Daily Outcomes: Students will…(Explain your outcome in student-friendly terms, and use Bloom’s Taxonomy verbs.)

Bell-Ringer: List the strategy (and question/statement stem if applicable)***The Bell-Ringer is not your Before Strategy, but use a Before Strategy as your Bell-Ringer. Think of it as your warm-up before you begin your lesson.

Before: List the strategy (think-pair-share, quick write, etc.)

During: List the strategy (chunking text, jot notes, etc.)

After: List the strategy (exit pass, think-write-share, etc.)

• A current Daily Strategic Agenda MUST be posted EVERY DAY.• Agenda MUST have ALL components.• Outcomes MUST be written in student-friendly terms…use Bloom’s Taxonomy

• Standards MUST be posted in your room...this is why you are able to only write the standard number on your Daily Strategic Agenda!
