Student Employee
Appreciation Week April 14 - 20
Celebrating 23 years of “Thank You’s”
MU Celebrates 23 Years of Honoring Students and Supervisors!
Approximately 30% of Monmouth University full-time
undergraduate students were hired through the Student Employment Office this year. Monmouth participates
National Student Employment Week, April 14 – 20, 2019, which pampers student employees with free gifts, most of
which are donated by outside businesses. Student Employee Appreciation Day is filled with
surprise vendors, homemade food, luncheons, balloons, live music, coupons, and gift certificates! The
suspense is building, as we discuss the Student Employee of the Year competition. Twenty two students are nominated and are critiqued on their initiative, reliability, quality of work, professionalism and contribution to the
University. Multiple awards are given out at the ceremony, including Honorable Mentions, and of course, Student
Employee and Supervisor of the Year awards. Congratulations and thank you to MU’s over 1,280 student employees & 270
supervisors!

ANNUAL “DECK YOUR DOOR” CONTEST
2019 STUDENT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR NOMINEES:
Monmouth’s 11th Annual “Deck Your Door” contest has become a highly competitive event.
Participation has grown substantially and the departments have strong door designs every year.
This year’s competition will feature two winning categories: Most Original and Best Student
Employment Message. What do departments win? Well, it’s never really about the prize so much as the chance to tell your friends that you won! The real winners are the Student Employees who we
honor and thank in every display. It’s arts & crafts time everyone — ready, set, go! And may the best
doors win!
