Ours is a privately owned family business, now in its fourth generation. Cabinet making is in our blood. We work to exacting standards using carefully selected raw materials and time-honoured joinery techniques. Nowadays all our furniture is produced in a large modern factory in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Our whole operation is accredited to quality assurance standard BS EN ISO 9001:2008.

This blend of tradition and technology results in superbly designed products, built to stay looking good and working hard throughout a long lifespan. Our craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail provide exceptional value for money.

Initial site surveyIf the project is a refurbishment then an Ellis team member measures the existing rooms, including essential design implications (pipework, skirting, room access, etc). They also make initial improvement notes, and take on board a students needs which form the basis of the brief for our interior design team.

Design and drawThe new room proposals are visualised by the design team, using the very latest 2D and 3D software. Multiple design options are often included to cater for a variety of clever space-saving ideas.

4Original pilot roomWe are able to bring our designs to life by building one full size room – either in our factory or on site. This allows everyone to ‘live’ the design, signing off the final design or ironing out any final adjustment before full production.

InstallationOur installation team liaise with the university/provider or the contractor to project manage the arrival of all furniture and equipment on site, ensuring everything runs smoothly without delay to the project.
