Gospel Reading Mark 12:28b-34 Jesus is questioned by a scribe about the greatest commandment. As Christians, our moral behavior is guided by the two-part commandment taught by Jesus in today’s Gospel: love God and love your neighbour as yourself. Many of us learned to use this framework as an examination of conscience. By examining our lives through the lens of these commandments, we have learned that the challenge of these commandments is not in our desire to follow them but in our capacity to consistently honor these commandments in our daily lives. FIRST RECONCILIATION 2018

PREPARATION FOR THE SACRAMENT OF 1ST RECONCILIATION ONGOING.

RITE OF RECONCILIATION WILL BE CELEBRATED ON THE 29TH NOVEMBER AT 7PM IN THE CHURCH.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney have introduced new policies and requirements for all those who are 18 years of age and over and volunteer in the parish.

All volunteers must read and sign a Volunteer Acceptance Form, a Code of Conduct for Working with Children and Young people and complete an Induction Training Course on Safeguarding Children.

The Safeguarding Office have announced the introduction of an ONLINE Induction Training Course for parish volunteers. To complete the course online, please register by following this link—https://goo.gl/forms/fSnOR2jrB2COg0wG3 . After registration wait for them to email your login.

Also, some volunteers are also required to obtain and Working with Children Check (WWCC). These include *Ministers of the Word, Extraordinary Ministers of Communion, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Collectors/Warden, Acolytes etc.

However, for those volunteers who are not able to access and complete the course online, the parish will run the Induction Training Course on Safeguarding Children in November at the parish. Date to be confirmed. For those who have already signed and returned above mentioned forms, thank you.

From the Liturgy Office….

During November, our parish will be offering various op-

portunities where you can pray for our dearly departed in

a special way. These include the Book of Life, which will be

displayed in the foyer of the Church. This book contains the

names of all the deceased whose family members have

made an offering towards the November Mass Intentions.

Additional Prayers for the Dead and an Order of Service

for Vising a Cemetery, will also be available from the

Church Foyer.

Remember that our deceased loved ones are waiting for

our petitions and prayers. Therefore, I urge you to avail

yourselves to these such occasions. Eternal rest grant unto

them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, may

they rest in peace….God bless, Rita Cordina
