We all know that an active child will improve physically, cognitively, emotionally and socially.

exercise. Benefits include stronger muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments, less fat, higher

metabolism, greater self-confidence and lower injury risk. The old theory that strength training

could be detrimental to bone development has been proven false. In fact, according to the

American College of Sports medicine (1993), 50% of preadolescent sports injuries could be

prevented with youth strength and conditioning programs.
