• Some stresses get you going & they are good for you– without any stress at all one may become lazy and our lives will become boring
• However, when stresses undermine both our mental and physical health they are bad.

• Students today face a lot of stress pertaining to studies due to competition, peer pressure, inability to study effectively etc.
• Students are heavily burdened with these pressures and are unable to perform efficiently.

• Unable to cope up with study pressure has lead to depression and suicidal tendencies in many youngsters.
• Let us discuss a few ways to reduce this stress by adapting a few simple techniques to ease out the pressure

• One needs to balance time between studies & other activities
• Prioritize your studies according to its importance, urgency & difficulty
• Devote your time to school, studies, homework
• Prepare a timetable for studies & play activities & try and accommodate both

• Organize your files, notes, assignments according to submission dates
• Keep a calendar or notebook
• Maintain daily records

• Choose a quiet place free from distractions
• Study in a proper lit & ventilated room
• If you have trouble getting in the mood to study then divide your tasks/ chapters into small chunks & reward every time you finish it

• These can help you remember parts of your work that otherwise would have been forgotten
• Revise & read previous class notes
• Go through what you have learned in school that day to help you remember
