First Academic Building

The FAB is one of the three first new buildings on Cornell Tech’s startup incubator campus on Roosevelt Island, named after Former Mayor Bloomberg. The LEED Platinum project is under construction, with completion set for early 2017. Our scope of work involves working with the Owner and Contractor to get all of the Construction phase items right.

Southstar Lofts

Organization of American States

Southstar luxury apartments are located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love. We worked for the Architect, to make sure all of the credits got accepted; specifically we troubleshot the energy model, to make sure we got the 5 points for being 20% better than code, which was critical in making sure that the project earned LEED Silver.

The OAS is similar to the United Nations, but for South American states. This building for the OAS is called the General Services Building, and houses meetings with heads of state. They were targeting LEED Silver for Existing Buildings. With some careful planing and diligent oversight we managed to surprise them with LEED Gold, at no additional cost to them.

Fairplex Convention Center

The Fairplex center in Pomona is a high tech venue for trade shows, conferences, and will be the annual site of the Los Angeles County Fair. The Contractor for this project called us six months into construction, and asked for help. The team hadn’t realized how much work was involved in the process. We rallied the team, pulled it together, and got it LEED Certified.

We’ve worked within the LEED Volume program with both TD Bank and Bank of America, on multiple projects along the East Coast, often serving as their preferred partner for managing the submittal review process and overall construction with the General Contractor and Subcontractors. Hayward 21st Century Library

This state-of-the-art learning facility is on track to achieve Net Zero and LEED Platinum. At 58,000 square feet, the plaza is the most sustainable public building in Hayward, CA. It includes an underground rainwater system that will catch and save 400,000 gallons of rainwater per year. Above Green has been an early partner on this project, providing Sustainability Advisory and Construction Administration services.

Pret A Manger

Pret A Manger is a retail chain featuring organic coffee and handmade natural food. Pret is also known for their gorgeous shop designs. Working with Pret’s in house and outside design team Above Green worked to incorporate the LEED requirements into their standard plan set for locations in DC, Chicago, and New York City. Currently in the works is a shop in the new World Trade Center building.

San Francisco University Mashouf Wellness Center

The Mashouf Wellness Center will offer 118,700 square feet of space for recreation, and serve as a new hub for student life. The $86.5m project is slated for Net Zero and LEED Platinum. Above Green serves as LEED Construction Administrator, making sure that the General Contractor’s construction practices comply with LEED Certification requirements.

Houston Midtown Park

Midtown Park is located on a six acre tract on Main Street between Mc-Gowan and Anita. It will become a premier urban green space, and will include a great lawn, dog run, gardens, retail, and residential spaces. The project is targeting Certification under the new SITES Certification pro-gram. Above Green is serving as Sustainability Advisor and SITES Con-struction Administrator.
