Comparison - Metro VS Regional

Differences with regional SFL programs:

Greater instructor pool to choose from

Transport is generally not an issue

Access to more equipment Ongoing Training is more

accessible Larger population for

sustainability

Similarities with regional SFL programs:

Supported by an overarching body (health service, local council)

SFL is often offered as a community service not a commercial initiative

Instructors are subcontracted, not on staff

A word from our partners

Page 19: STRENGTH FOR LIFE PROGRAM - COTA Australia · 2018. 11. 29. · national policy forum 2012 . strength for life program . cota presentation by rosetta rosa

“The key change required within our community is to adopt a mindset for health ageing and to embrace healthy ageing across the life course.

The Strength for Life Program is fabulous and the people who have engaged in the program have adopted a mindset ... the program really works well with community coming together into a facility such as aged care residential.”

Jo Boylan
