Never date a married man! Why would youwant to anyway? You will never be seen

as number one -which you are. Also if youraffair is ever discovered, he will deny you in aheartbeat.

Men who cheat really have no intentionsof ever leaving their wives. The only reasonwhy they are with you is to get something thattheir wife is not giving to them. His wife hasnow stopped wearing the sexy lingerie andstilettos to bed, and is now in track pants androllers; no longer trying to appear sexy to herman.

Now, the only thing left for him to do isto find himself a little honey on the side, whowill continue to fulfill his sexual desires with-out costing him too much. You, of course, arethe schmuck that he has set his eyes on to fillthat void. He keeps swearing to you that he “isdefinitely going to divorce her and then marryyou!” How many affairs ever turn into mar-riages? You will waste all your life waiting foryour Mr. Wonderful to divorce his wife, whileyour vagina hairs get greyer and greyer fromold age.

The other thing to consider is that, mosttimes when men do leave their wives and gotheir separate ways, they rarely get into a rela-tionship with the woman that they were hav-ing the affair with. They feel that they are nowfinally free and can bang as many youngchicks—excluding you with the grey vaginahairs—that they can.

So what would have been the outcome? You would have wasted all your Saturdaynights and holidays, longing for your Mr.Wonderful to be by your side, wishing he washolding you in his arms. He is able to sneak acall here and there, when his wife, who usual-ly is the boss of him, bellows in the back-ground for him to “come and take out thegarbage.”

In your mind you are thinking, “Howcould he ever continue to be with her, while Iam available with my sexy body and support-

ive character? Does he not know that I lovehim?”

Get a grip girl! The only reason he con-tinues to be with her is because he loves her. This is quite evident because he is still by herside, even with her nasty attitude, sweatpants, and rollers in her hair.

The communication in his marriagemight have just broken down and he needs ashoulder a cry on and someone to talk to.

Don’t be the schmuck and the mistress onthe side. It should be very obvious to you thathe really cares for his wife, because not onlyis she not doing the right things to keep herman but you are doing the right things, aren’tyou? And who is he married you? Her, notyou! And if ever your affair is discovered, hewill fabricate every excuse in the book, andeven go as far as call you a liar when he iscaught. He might even go as far as saying thathe is a “sex addict”, which is the most com-mon cop-out these days for men, and somewomen, when they are caught cheating.

There is nothing wrong with being

friends with a married man, but do rememberthat there are lines to draw between yourfriendships. If you find it getting too cozy, orif you are starting to feel attracted to him -which is not a wrong emotion- distance your-self immediately. Being attracted to someoneis not wrong, but acting upon the emotion ismorally wrong.

Unless you are prepared to waste yourlife on something that will never be yours, dat-ing a married man should never be an option.Besides, why would you ever want to be sec-ond to any other woman? There are lots ofmen out there, so go out and get your own!

On November 6, 2012 Americans will bevoting for a president to manage the

country for the next four years. The incum-bent Democratic president Barack Obama andhis Republican rival Mitt Romney are aggres-sively trying to convince Americans to sup-port their respective candidacy.

The State of New York and especiallyNew York City with its large Black popula-tion has always demonstrated unwaveringloyalty to the Democratic Party and PresidentObama.

As an independent newspaper with nopolitical or religious agenda, Street Hype willalways put forward information that couldhelp people as they decide their leaders.

We don’t think a president should beselected on the basis of race, creed or sex, however in our reality President Obama isbeing selected based on his color. After fouryears as president, how does the economiccondition of the African-Americans changedunder Obama?

George Bush left us about $4 trillion indebt. Under Obama, that debt is now $16 tril-lion. When Obama became president, theunemployment rate was 7.7 percent. Now it’s8.1 percent. And, federal government’s busi-

ness contracting with Black-owned firmsdecreased under Obama. In some people’sopinions Obama has caused Blacks’ condi-tions to get worse over the past three years.

The Republicans continue to oppose theObama administration. They claimed that thedisproportionately poor employment ratesamong African-Americans are worse and theeconomy under Obama has increased peo-ple’s need for federal assistance, such as foodstamps.

President Obama continues to explainthat he got a very bad economy to fix and heneeds more time. For example, he refused tolet the American auto industry die. He took achance on Americans, and it paid off. Morethan 1 million jobs were saved, the U.S. autoindustry is roaring back and adding jobs andall government loans were paid back ahead oftime.

In the case of Romney, his agendainclude lower taxes, less regulation, balancedbudget and more trade deals to spur growth.Replace jobless benefits with unemploymentsavings accounts.

Romney says that American economicgrowth should come from the private sector. He believes he can create an environment in

America where businesses will begin hiringmillions of people at higher wage positions.

However, based on his various utterancesand what have been played out in the press, people –not just African American - don’ttrust Romney.

A top Republican blamed the Democratsand President Obama for telling lies aboutRepublican policies to gain ground in a tightpresidential election.

Nonetheless, we want to believe thatboth Obama and Romney aim to improve theoverall living standard of the American peo-ple. Their methods of implementation and theongoing aggressive “propaganda war” arehowever making it very difficult for voters todetermine the best person to manage thecountry at this time.

We are living in the information era, where our environs including our privatespaces are being bombarded with all type ofinformation-facts, fictions and allegationsincluding profanities.

It is our responsibility to carefully studythe information and determine our best courseof action.

Our vote should be based on the issuesnot emotions or political cheap talk.

Anti Gay RightsMovementUnderway

Turks and Caicos Islands:

Led by Pastors Pedro Williams andConrad Howell, a movement has sprung

up to prevent certain provisions of recentrights legislation being enacted by the inter-im government.

This issue needs to be given over to thenext elected government, say the clergy. TheBill, which Governor Ric Todd has said ismodeled after similar laws in the EuropeanUnion, has provisions to prevent prejudiceagainst gays and lesbians.

Howell said, “This makes no sense; weare not London and we are not a Europeancity. Centuries ago they sent missionarieshere to teach us the word of God and thescriptures, now they are trying to imposelaws which are counter to the scriptures.”

While this issue has not been addressedby the Progressive National Party (PNP),which has an openly gay candidate runningfor election, it was however addressed bySharlene Cartwright Robinson, deputyleader of the Peoples Democratic Movement(PDM), when she joined the pastors in arecent march in Provo about this issue.

“This and other contentious issues ofthis nature need to be addressed by the peo-ple’s representatives, the next elected gov-ernment,” said Cartwright Robinson.

Howell is an executive of the PNP.In the “Talk Back” column of the TCI

Weekly News earlier this month, all the sub-missions, which are allowed to be anony-mous, supported the local pastors’ position.

Grenada PM blames power

struggle for troublesST GEORGE’S, Grenada:

Grenada’s PrimeMinister Tillman

Thomas, who is alsoleader of the rulingNational DemocraticCongress (NDC), hassaid that problems beset-ting the government andparty have nothing to dowith his leadership.

The NDC, in gener-al elections held in 2008, won 11 of 15 par-liamentary seats to form the government.

However, internal party strife led tothe postponement of the NDC’s conventionfrom July to Sunday, September 30.

In addition, four MPs have resignedfrom cabinet and one was dismissed by theprime minister in January. All five are nowbackbenchers in the House ofRepresentatives.

Thomas, in an interview on Fridaywith the Government Information Service, blamed the troubles on an alleged powerstruggle and “an attempt to take over theparty”.

The situation has “nothing to do withleadership,” he insisted. Had there been ateam that was “cohesive and focused,” thegovernment would have done much betterin the four years it has been in office, theprime minister added.

Kingston, Jamaica:

The hearing into the application by thePeople’s National Party (PNP), chal-

lenging an order for several of its mem-bers to answer questions relating to theTrafigura donation, is now before theConstitutional Court, according to aGleaner newspaper report.

Dutch authorities want to questionPNP President Portia Simpson Miller, party chairman Robert Pickergill and sen-ior members Phillip Paulwell and ColinCampbell about a $31 million donation tothe party by Trafigura Beheer.

It is illegal for Dutch companies todonate to political parties.

At the time of the donation in 2006,Trafigura had an oil-lifting contract withthe PNP Administration which had formedthe government.

In court documents, the PNP is con-tending that the order for its officials toanswer questions in relation to theTrafigura probe by Dutch authorities is abreach of their constitutional rights.

The matter was sent to theConstitutional Court, after the Court ofAppeal overturned a ruling by SupremeCourt Judge Lennox Campbell onDecember 5, 2011.

Justice Campbell had denied arequest by the PNP to take the matter to

the Constitutional Court saying the ques-tions being put to the politicians wereserved on them long ago and they hadenough time to raise their concerns.

The Trafigura hearing in the SupremeCourt has been suspended pending theoutcome of the motion in theConstitutional Court.

By Aubrey CampbellThe weather was the better player onSaturday, keeping at home and away fromthe park and forcing the two teams to playa truncated match in a constant drizzle, well past the scheduled starting time.

At the end of fifty minutes of compe-tition, the two captains, ‘Bob’ Austin forthe All Manning team and LloydMatthews – All daCosta, offered the cus-tomary handshake in centerfield, no doubtwonder what the outcome would havebeen under normal circumstances.

In front of an empty park, it was the‘Kingstonians’ who drew first blood whennewcomer Ifidel Hamilton worked hisway thru’ the midfield and rifled a rightfoot grounder past Owen Scarlett in goal.

Playing the better ball on a rain-

soaked turf, the All Manning team wheninto the break with a 2 goals to nil (2-0)advantage, thanks to a beautiful goal fromRichard McDonald.

If the first half belonged to the All-Manning All-stars, then the second periodwas all about the rural boys as they scoredtwice to balance things out. First EvertonDawson, the former Dinthill Technicalace, scored from a free-kick, putting theball into the top right corner, past a tryingDelgado Taylor (C’bar) in goal.

Minutes later, Miguel Reynoldssqueezed between two defenders to slipthe ball again past the goalie (Taylor) for a2-2 score-line.

The result means the All-daCostahold the advantage with wins in 2009 and2011, a loss in 2010 and a tie this year.

Based on her work on behalf of immi-grant clients, Albarus-Lindo saw the needfor services that can help such clientsadjust positively to deportation. Given herJamaican roots, Albarus-Lindo was con-cerned primarily about the impact ofdeportation on Jamaican nationals as wellas the impact that displaced persons canhave on Jamaica’s development.

YOUTH IN FOCUS

Coming to terms with your child’s disability

ASKDR KAREN GORDON

[email protected]

1-888-255-5064.

Dr. Karen Gordon is a licensed psychologist with 13 years experience, specializing in dis-ruptive behaviors in children and adolescents. If you have a question or concern, please for-ward by emailing her at: [email protected]

Many parents have likened the expe-riences of learning that their child

has a disability, to the grieving process. These feelings involve similar stages ofmourning as one would do, for the deathof a loved one.

The experience is characterized byintense traumatic reactions and for many, signifies the loss of a child they hadhopes for. Parents often go through upsand downs during the process of accept-ing this possibility for their child. Thesereactions often take place regardless ofthe disability itself or the severity of thedisability. Parents often have to makenumerous physical and financial changesincluding visits to clinicians and schoolpersonnel to obtain necessary assess-ments and follow-up services.

Many researchers have takenKubler-Ross’s development stage ofreaction to dying, to the loss associatedwith parenting a child with a disability. Ithas been suggested that parents gothrough similar stages of grief.

1. Denial: Many parents questionthe accuracy of the child’s diagnosis ordisability. They often wonder if a mis-take was made or seek second and thirdopinions on the child’s condition.

2. Anger: This could be expressed indifferent ways. Parents can be angry withthemselves, their spouse, or even thechild.

3. Bargaining: Parents may try tocompromise. They may think “probablyit’s not as bad as it seems” or “If I get mydaughter tutoring, she could get hergrades up – and won’t have the disabili-ty anymore.”

4. Depression: It’s natural for par-ents to feel sad about the situation; thismeans they are becoming aware andstarting to accept the reality.

5. Acceptance: The parent hasbecome aware of their child’s disabilityand has recognized it, searched for acause, and is coping with the awarenessof it.

Parents are encouraged to seek asupport system to address the addedpressures involved in caring for a childwith a disability. It is important to recog-nize there are many parents who areexperiencing the same feelings and con-flicts; they are not alone.

In addition, individual therapy canalso help parents learn how to cope andbetter deal with the challenges of raisingtheir child.

There are things you should take intoconsideration before you begin yourquest to find out if your spouse is

cheating. First, are you ready for the conflict that

will occur when your spouse finds out youhave been spying on him/her?

You should expect your spouse to beupset, to accuse you of not trusting themand to deny their own actions in favor oftrying to make you feel guilty for spying.

Secondly, certain forms of spying areillegal. There are state and federal laws thatregulate the use of surveillance equipment, recording devices and Internet software.

You should become familiar with yourstate laws before you go full steam aheadwith any sort of covert spying behavior.

There are 4 important reasons youshould find out if your spouse is cheating:

1. To protect yourself emotionally. Worryover that nagging feeling in the pit of your stomach can be emotionally draining.

Find out for sure what is going on willenable you to stop worrying and start cop-ing.

2. To protect your health. If your spouse ischeating there is a danger of sexually trans-mitted diseases. If your spouse is having anaffair and not using protection, they areputting your health at risk. Protecting yourhealth is ultimately your responsibility andthe main reason you should try and discov-er the truth.

3. To protect yourself legally. If the infi-delity means the end of your marriagesome state divorce laws still allow it to beused as grounds for divorce.

Even in states with no-fault divorcelaws a judge can and may take into consid-eration the conduct of your spouse whendetermining spousal support.

4. To protect your self-esteem. Infidelity ina marriage can cause a person to doubttheir worth, doubt their attractiveness andquestion whether or not they themselvesare responsible for the infidelity.

It is imperative that you stand up foryourself if you feel your spouse is cheating. The best way to do that is gather informa-tion and confront them about their unac-ceptable behavior.

Dear Divine Diva::

Lately when I'm upset about something,I have been snapping my wrists with

rubber bands. It seemed harmless at first, better than cutting, right? But I havenoticed that now I have red lines that nevergo away and the welts take longer to dis-appear, and I'm constantly having to coverthem up.

I'm 16 and I'm worried that I can't stopdoing it. I'm not even sure why I do it, butI'm actually more scared to stop than I amto continue. I'm embarrassed and ashamed, and I don't want to hurt my family. I knowthey'd be upset if they found out. I don'twant to ask for help, but also, I don't wantto stop. Please help me. -Messed Up,Queens

Dear Messed Up: The first step in resolving a problem is rec-ognizing you have one and that you needhelp.

You have done that. I have heard fromother young people that they're embar-rassed, ashamed or scared to tell their par-ents they have a problem because they'reafraid their parents will become upset orangry. This is wrong. Parents may react --but only out of concern.

Snapping a rubber band is a techniquesome people use to stop a bad habit -- likesmoking. You, however, appear to be usingit as a way of not dealing with your emo-tions.

The marks on your wrists may becaused because the rubber bands are sotight they are cutting off your circulation.

There is a reason you are trying to dis-tract yourself with pain, and it's importantthat you find out what it is so your behav-ior doesn't escalate.

A licensed mental health professionalcan help you quickly get to the root of yourproblem, and telling your parents what'sgoing on is the fastest way to get that help. Please don't put it off any longer.

FALLEN ANGELS: God created angelsbefore He created man. However, afterSatan that old serpent called the devil lostthe war in Heaven, he and his angels werecast out of Heaven spiritually speaking.Prior to this, Satan was an angel in goodstanding with God, but this accuser andhis angels are among us today, seeking tokill and destroy us. This is the generationof the Fallen Angels” we read about in(Ezekiel 28:13-19) and (Rev. 12:7- 12)they are armed with evil/demonic spirits.

GIANTS: After God created Adamthe first man and place him into theGarden of Eden (i.e. in the presence ofGod ), God warned Adam about the tree ofknowledge of good and evil, ( Genesis2:7-9 ) but Adam, just like many of ustoday, disobeyed God and ate the fruitfrom the tree. This was the first sin com-mitted by man and this opened the doorfor the birth of “Giants” (Gen.6:1 –7) and(Deut. 2: 10-21). The generation of theGiants is the seed of the serpent(Gen.3:15).

During the days of King David therewere five Giants alive. One of those giantswas Goliath whose height was approxi-mately 13 ft. (1-Samuel 17: 4). Many ofus, who remain committed to the Lord, arethankful to David the shepherd boy forending the life of Goliath.

EVIL/DEMONIC SPIRITS: Adamwas deceived in the garden by evil spirit,Old Testament believers were deceived inthe Holy Land by evil spirits, and theinhabitants of the earth live in fear of evil

spirits until that spirit was attacked anddefeated by Jesus Christ through His deathon the cross and His resurrection from thegrave some two thousand years ago. Yes,it was the evil spirit (Satan) that enteredinto the heart of Judas to betray Jesus(Luke 22:3). But let us rejoice with thewords of (St. Luke 10:19) behold, I giveunto you power to tread on serpents andscorpions, and over ALL the power of theenemy; and nothing shall by any meanshurt you.”

Let’s understand what this powermean. It means that if we are true andfaithful with God we can use it to defeatevil spirits, not to support, condone or begoverned by it. The bible clearly teacheswhat we must do with evil or demonicspirits, HATE it (Heb.1:9). We are livingin hard economic times and in order to callon a savior we must experience or facesome suffering. Jesus said all power isgiven to HIM and Him alone on earth andin Heaven (Math. 28:18).

Will you try Him today? Please feelfree to call me if you love to talk aboutJESUS and the message of the cross.Amen.
