• Involve everyone on the team in gathering information
• Be prepared to listen to your team – every step of the way.
• There are three distinct phases to developing a new strategy:
Analyze Plan Implement
Thinking short and long term
• Be confident about the future but realistic about what you can achieve.
• Work hard for long-term goals while striving for immediate result.
• When making day-day decisions consider the long-term implications before committing to action.
• An effective strategic plan has accurate information ,strong ideas and committed people at its core.
Analyze your position
• Understand your customer: 1- make sure that your customer real requirement
drive the plan 2- look at the service you provide from your
customers point of view.•analyzing competitors:1- learn from your competitors failure as well as
their successes2-never ignore a threat but build a way of dealing
with it into the plan.
Assessing your skills and capabilities
• Examining the internal capabilities
•summarizing the analysis:
Review internal Business processes
Examine informationsystems
Evaluate facilities And equipment
Assess the skills and Experience of the

Agree internal capabilities

Planning and implementation• For planning :An effective strategic plan is developed methodically, drawing on the
depth analysis that has been carried out• Never assume you have everything right. Review and update your
decisions regularly.• For implementation:• Involves setting change projects in motion that will achieve strategic
aims. learn how to change for the future while maximizing performance today
• Look for big improvements from change project• Make sure the teams priorities are the same as yours• Remember that the action plan is not complete until it is written• Always rehearse a contingency plan to make it more useful
