Some of the characters in this story are: Stone Fox Searchlight and Little Willy. These characters are nice at some points of the story because at one point Stone Fox slapped Little Willy in the face so I bet that right when Stone Fox slapped Little Willy thought that Stone Fox was mean right away! Stone Fox is a very tall man and is very serious about his work. I also think that Stone Fox is imitating to Little Willy.

The setting is at a small farm in Wyoming. There is a race on Main street that both Little Willy and Stone Fox want the 500$ they would win if they won the race. Most the story takes place in Little Willy’s farm

There are a couple of problems in this story that are very important like : when Little Willy’s grandfather was sick in bed because he did not pay his taxes in 10 years and he was over due on his taxes 500$ and this is why Little Willy is trying to win the race so he could get the 500$ for the taxes. Stone Fox is getting the money because Americans stole it from him so he is trying to buy it back

Little Willy ends up winning the race because Stone Fox let Little Willy cross the finish line because Little Willy do Searchlight died so I think Stone Fox let him win because if that was Stone Foxes dog Little Willy would of let Stone Fox win.
