One Night | Fourteen Speakers | Beverages | Discussion CLEVELAND – On February 4 th , at 8:20pm, at The House of Blues, art and culture enthusiasts will experience a dynamic event that has touched over 370 cities across the world: PechaKucha Night (PKN). Japanese for “the sound of conversation,” this event features a succession of 14 speakers, each sharing ideas about topics ranging from visual art, architecture, and technology to food, film, music, photography and furniture design. Each presentation is limited to 20 slides, each slide up on the screen for 20 seconds a piece, for a 400 second long presentation (6:40). The rapid-fire style keeps audiences engaged while breaking down barriers between different design communities. The goal is to expose and attract new talent and ideas, foster the existing creative community in an innovative platform, and incite meaningful collaborations among presenters and audience members.
