Thoughts from those who come to the Chapel of Adoration

I have been going to the chapel since it started 19 years ago. Many prayers have been answered but one

incident is of great importance. My young daughter had passed away suddenly and

one night at the chapel, I broke down and began sobbing.

In my heart and in my mind these words came to me. “She is Ok and happy—she is with me and her Dad.” A loving cloud of peace came over me and I stopped

crying. I thank God everyday for being in my life. Holy

hours and the chapel are precious times to be with Jesus and Mary.

A Sunday Gospel Reflections March 29th. – Fifth Sunday of Lent John 11:1-45 Gospel Summary In this Gospel, John tells the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. The story is significant be-cause it is likely that his action was his last miracle before Jesus began the journey toward his own death. Jesus was called to Bethany to save his friend, but in-stead waited several days to return. This action con-fused Lazarus' sisters, Mary and Martha, because they knew that Jesus could have healed their brother. Jesus used the incident to strengthen the faith of Mary, Mar-tha, and all who believed. He made sure that Lazarus was raised from death so that the people could witness God's glory. Reflection for Families The healing power of Jesus brings new life to all of us. Are there some things in our lives that cause us to die to others? Perhaps we are impatient, ungrateful, critical, or quick to anger. Maybe we're proud, boast-ful, or envious. Jesus promises us new life if we trust in him and allow our actions to follow his ways. Bringing the Gospel Into Your Family If there are members of your extended family who have died, share with one another what this passage might mean for them. What hope does the reading give us for ourselves and for our loved ones? How does new life that we can see this spring help us know what Jesus promised? As you did last week, bring some symbols of God's promise to your prayer table. Discussion Starters 1. The best example I saw of the new life Jesus prom-ises was... 2. Like Mary and Martha, my faith was strengthened when... 3. This story brings me hope because... ATTENTION: OUR LADY OF THE

THANK YOU – THANK YOU – THANK YOU

As I announced in Church, our parish has reached its goal in pledges for this year’s Catholic Ministries Appeal!! I am most grateful to all those who made a sacrificial gift to bring this day about. It was the joint effort of all, large gifts and small, but I am sure all sacrificial gifts which will support our diocesan effort to spread the Good News of Christ and reach out to those in need in His name. May God bless our gifts and touch many people through them. There are some, like me, who still have an outstanding balance to pay towards our pledge. These need to be paid by May 30 to be credited to our goal. ~ Fr. Stan
