The Program

Want to avoid the winter chill by escaping to Jamaica? Want to kayak, hike, and swim in a tropical paradise?

Join us in Jamaica! You will learn to be an educated traveler. You will be become well versed in the Jamaican government and their personal and group impacts on the people and en-vironment. You’ll have an opportunity for rafting, snorkeling, caving, to tour a Rastafari indigenous village, and to expe-rience the Luminous Bay Lagoon, among other excursions. Through multiple stewardship projects and cultural immer-sion, you will leave a lasting positive impact on Jamaica’s environment.

The fee of $5,699 includes:

• 3 units of Fresno State credit

• All instruction

• Roundtrip Airfare from Los Angeles to Jamaica

• Airport transfers

• Local transportation

• All excursions

• Lodging in shared rooms

• Daily breakfast and wireless internet in hotels

• Travel/health insurance

What’s Excluded

Passport, lunches, dinners. Visas are not required for U.S. citizens entering Jamaica.

All participants in this program must register for credit, includ-ing non-matriculated individuals.

Course fee is $5,699.

• Sept. 24, 2017. First online payment of $400 due to WorldStrides

• Oct. 6, 2017. Second online payment of $2,140 due to World Strides and payment of $510 due to Fresno State

• Nov. 8, 2017. Third online payment of $2,139 due to WorldStrides

• Dec. 8, 2017. Final payment of $510 due to Fresno State

You will need to register both with WorldStrides online (see below) and with Fresno State (use registration form in this brochure) for your registration to be complete. To register with WorldStrides, go to this website: www.worldstridescapstone.org/register.

• You will be prompted to enter the Fresno State Trip ID: 149467.

• Once you enter the Trip ID and requested security characters, click on the “Register Now” box on the lower portion of the page and you will be taken directly to the site.

• Review the summary page and click “Register” in the top right corner to enter your information.

• Note: You are required to accept WorldStrides Capstone programs terms and conditions and click “check-out” before your registration is complete.

It is important to understand that you are undertaking a serious contractual obligation when you register for your travel study program. Starting on October 6, 2017, you are respon-sible for all your travel study program fees of $5,699. Your financial obligation will be posted to your Fresno State account even if you withdraw from the program.
