GRACEFUL LASS( 2 ) and DANA HOPALONG( 3 ) were slow to begin. RIPPY ROYAL( 4 ) raced wide in the run to the first turn, hampering SMALL SIDE( 6 ). GRACEFUL LASS( 2 ), RIPPY ROYAL( 4 ), SMALL SIDE( 6 ), and ELITE CHLOE( 7 ) came together at the first turn, with GRACEFUL LASS( 2 ), SMALL SIDE( 6 ), and ELITE CHLOE( 7 ), all losing ground. DANA HOPALONG( 3 ) raced wide at the home turn. TOY FAIR( 9 ) raced wide in the home straight, hampering DANA HOPALONG( 3 ). TOY FAIR( 9 ) was vetted with no incapacitation period imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer of TOY FAIR( 9 ) regarding his greyhounds actions in the home straight. Stewards were of the belief that TOY FAIR( 9 ) was conscious of DANA HOPALONG( 3 ) to it’s outside. Whilst taking no further action, Stewards informed trainer J Barrass that the greyhound’s future performances will be closely monitored.

MR. PICKLES( 1 ) eased approaching the first turn, losing ground sharply and tailing out. HERE’S YOUR HAT( 4 ) brushed the running rail at the first turn, with HERE’S YOUR HAT( 4 ) losing ground checking BLACK MAX OPAL( 2 ), which also lost ground. Shortly after, AVOID REGRETS( 8 ) was checked off the heels of HERE’S YOUR HAT( 4 ), causing AVOID REGRETS( 8 ) to lose ground and check LADY OF ROSEDALE( 3 ), which lost ground/ AUSSIE OUTLAW( 5 ) galloped on the back of AVOID REGRETS( 8 ) approaching the home turn, both losing ground sharply. In a post race incident, AVOID REGRETS( 8 ) escaped the catching pen, and left the confines of the track. MR. PICKLES( 1 ) was vetted with no incapacitation period imposed AVOID REGRETS( 8 ) was vetted with no incapacitation period imposed With regards to the actions of MR.
