SR POWER STATION ELECTRICIAN/PRIME POWER SUPERVISORUS ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERSAugust 2000- December 2013Supervises, operates, electrical power plants and distribution equipment worldwide. The generating units are primarily diesel or gas turbine engine-driven models capable of producing 750 kW to 4,500 kW at 2400 or 4160 volts. Power plant operator / Maintenance duties include inspecting, testing, maintenance, and repair (organizational, direct and general support) support of Prime Power Program generation and distribution equipment and associated support system/equipment.Supervises the deployment, installation, operation, and maintenance of utility grade power systems; responsible for the health, welfare and training of a Platoon size element capable of isolating and repairing complex malfunctions utilizing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting techniques; designs and supervises assessments of electrical distribution systems and facilities; supervises QA/QC operations for contracted electrical projects and equipment; deploys in support of the war fighter Overseas Contingency Operations and the National Response Framework; responsible for $4,000,000 worth of MTOE tools and equipment.
