Part of being a Christian means that we need to be willing to help others in need, just as Jesus did.
There are two ways to do this: with time and with money.

• It’s versatile!
• Money can be used from anything such as helping the church pay bills to buying food for the needy
• And, it’s small enough to fit in your pocket!
But, when you give, do so graciously!

• This is a more abstract way to give.
• You can’t hold time and simply give it away.
• Rather, there are several things you can do to trade your time for the gift of helping others
1 . V O L U N T E E R I N G
Simply using your time to engage the community. Sign up to man a booth at a fundraiser, food drive, or clothing donation center.
2 . TA L E N T S
In 1 Corinthians, Paul reminds us that we each have a skill that contributes to the body of Christ. Use that for good!
You can lead a group in joyful song…
… Or even read the Word to those who cannot do it themselves!
3 . L A B O U R
Do a favor with labor! Have a sick or elderly neighbor with a leaky faucet or broken fence? Offer to help out!
