We are all on an everlasting journey with a past, a present and a future. The Continuum Luncheon celebrates all that we were, are, and hope to be. God is working out His perfect will from generation to generation.

The Sterling Wood Church CONTINUUM With Thankfulness

for Easter, and revealed the new vision statement. The revised vision statement is “Sterling Wood Church: New lives in Christ igniting real change where we live, work, and play.” The staff also reported on the chair drive and the donation by Oldham Little Church Foundation of approximately $10,000.00 which will pay the balance for the new chairs. We stepped out in faith with our pledges and God provided the rest!

On February 26th, the Transition Team hosted a Continuum Luncheon. This event showcased the past, present, and future of Sterling Wood Church. The event included a recap of the “elephants” (issues) listed by the church members at the previous event on October 23rd. All the feedback was collated and reported to the staff with recommendations. The staff reported on the progress on the recommendations, set goals

VALENTINE BANQUET The Soular Youth Ministry sponsored a Valentine’s Banquet on February 12 to raise funds for youth camp. Teens served as waiters and worked in the kitchen serving delicious Italian fare. Ashley Maley and Troy Bryant provided the entertainment singing lively tunes to inspire the audience. Child care was provided while the adults enjoyed the evening. They even had a photo booth to commemorate the moment. The event raised over $1,000.00. Thank you for your participation!

OPERATION SHINE One of the issues that was mentioned in the first Transition Luncheon when the team asked for feedback is the need for updating the church facilities. Well, Operation Shine is our time to do just that. We will be painting, landscaping, cleaning and doing carpentry to prepare our facilities for company on Easter Sunday. Not only will we work to make our facilities SHINE, we will pray and SHINE individually for Christ where we live, work, and play as well. (If you’re not quite sure how to do that, check out our worship services and small groups March 12-April 9 for “Just Walk Across the Room.” It is a step-by-step process for sharing your faith.) Please join all the family for a great time of fellowship, lunch, and work for the kingdom on March 25 at 8:30 a.m. Lunch is provided.
