    Steps to move your mobile number to BSNL 1. To begin with, you need to generate UPC (Unique Porting Code) by sending SMS to 1900.

    UPC is an alphanumeric code allocated, upon request, by a mobile operator to its subscriber for the purpose of facilitation of porting of his/her mobile number to another operator.

    SMS to be sent: PORT to 1900 Eg. SMS PORT 9XXXXXXXX to 1900

    2. After sending SMS to 1900, you will receive UPC (Unique Porting Code) as a SMS from 1901giving 8 digit alpha-numeric Unique Porting Code (UPC).

    3. Visit your nearest BSNL CSC.

    4. Fill BSNL Mobile Number Porting (MNP) form providing details like Current Mobile Number Current Operator name UPC code

    5. Submit Address & Id proof documents, self-attested photo and last bill copy of postpaidconnection (if applicable) along-with filled MNP form and Customer Agreement Form.

    6. Get BSNL MNP SIM card from BSNL CSC. SIM charges, talktime value and porting chargeare non-refundable in the event of cancellation / rejection of port-in request.

    7. BSNL will send an SMS on your old/existing operators SIM (existing connection) intimatingabout the porting date and time, i.e. the date and approximate time till when you can continueto use your existing operators SIM card.

    8. There will be a 2-hour no service period which will begin after the porting time as givenabove. The no service period will be between 12 midnight to 5 am during which your mobile

    service will not be active on any SIM. All efforts will be made to ensure that this no service period causes minimum inconvenience to you.

    9. After the no service period, you can replace your existing operators SIM card with the newBSNL SIM card in your handset.

    Special Tariff Offers for Port-in GSMCustomers under Mobile Number

    Portability (MNP)

    a) Port-in charges will be waived off. b) 32K SIM will be given free of cost. In case of specific demand for other SIMs, actual SIM price will be charged.

    Prepaid Connection:-

    a) At the time of activation of all port-in customers, additional talk value of Rs.100 will beoffered in addition to the normal free talk value available with FRC.

    b) All port-in customers will be offered 5 GB GPRS for one month free of charge .

    Postpaid Connection:-

    a) 50% rebate in the FMC of first month after port in. b) 5GB GPRS will be free of charge for one month. Free GPRS/DATA usage associated withFMC shall not available for one month.

    c) Freebies attached with the plan will remain same.d) Where ever, the data usage offered with existing plans is more than the data usage offered, thehigher data usages already offered will prevail.
