1. General All requests for research grant contracts/ agreements must be submitted through the Pre-
Award Grant Management System. No requests will be accepted via email. Requests for contracts/ agreements can be submitted by the researcher or a personal/
administrative assistant.
2. Narratedsteps Note that all requests for research contracts must be submitted through the Pre-Award Grant Management System (PAGMS) To access the PAGMS and see your applications you can follow the following steps:
1. Log onto the UP staff portal
2. Click on Staff System Portlets
3. Under Faculty and Student Services Centre Portlet, click on Faculty Centre (LOL) – View Class List
4. You will have to login again with your UP staff portal login details
5. Under Main Menu, click on Research Funding and Grants
6. Click on External Funding workcentre
7. Search for the call which you applied to and was awarded
If the call does not appear either upload the call or request for the call to be uploaded
8. Click on the call link
9. Click on Commence UP Application Process
10. Click on Submitted to Funder & Outcome already received
11. Select Awarded from the dropdown menu and click on Next Step
12. Complete key personnel detail and click on Next Step
13. Complete Project Details and click on Next Step
14. Select Awarded from the dropdown menu and click on Next Step
15. Select type of agreement support required and upload draft agreement
16. Click on Send request to DRIS Contracts Office and click on Save 17. Track the status of your agreement

Note:
You can reset your password or register as a new user using the links at the bottom of
the login page.
If you are experiencing any problems with the login or registration you can contact IT at

Approval of submitted calls take 24 hours
You will then have to login following steps 1 – 7

16. Click on Send request to DRIS Contracts Office and click on Save
The DRIS Contracts Office will require your request and finalize the agreement.
The signed agreement with checklist will be uploaded to the system.
You will receive an email notification.
The Research Grants Management Office will finalize your cost centre number and change the
status of your project to funded

18. Download signed agreement and checklist
The system will send you an email notification when the signed agreement and checklist is
uploaded
Log onto the system and search under My Applications and select the relevant application
Click on the application link to open the application

Click on attachments to download the signed agreement and checklist
Under attachments you will find the signed agreement and checklist
