Step by Step guide to Contact McAfee SupportTo begin with decide whether you need assistance technically or Account related. Tech Support deals with issues in PC, MAC and Mobile device whereas Customer Service deals with Account related issues such as Billing, Refunds etc.Refer to the below document to get an overview of different types of Support available with Intel Security.https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-5907 Step 1: Choose your country.This step is important because you will be supported in the language you speak. This step also gives you options to choose between chat and phone methods to reach support.

Step 2: Choose your Support type.In this step you will need to choose the type of support such as Technical Assistance or Refund Related etc.

Step 3: Select the Product that you need assistanceSelect the product that you have subscribed for or you need assistance with. Click the down arrow and select the product from drop-down menu. Once selected click on Continue to proceed further. You can also use the detection tool to detect the Product automatically. If your product is not listed then choose “My Product is not listed”.

Step 4: Opt assistance by McAfee Virtual Technician:In this step you can choose to run McAfee Virtual Technician which will identify and fix issues with your Subscription, Product or PC. Click “Download and Run” to use McAfee Virtual Technician aka MVT or click “Continue” to skip running MVT.

Step 5: Choose you support contact method:In this step you can choose the contact method such as by Chat or Phone. Both being easy.

Step 6: Fill in your details and submit to get a Service Request numberIn this step you will need to fill in your First and Last name, your Email address where you need to be contacted and/or the email associated with McAfee Account plus your Contact phone number. This step will help Support to gather subscription details from our database and assist better.

If you have chosen Phone Support you need to provide this SR number to the Technician over phone.If you have chosen Chat Support you will need to run a small applet for getting connected to a chat technician.Just in Case:For some reason if you’re unable to access McAfee’s Support site and you see too many Ads try choosing a different browser or reset your default browser to its original settings.
