Commitment is only a few hours each month. Call 281-897-9298 or email: [email protected]. Message from Paddock Way Neighbor I live on Paddock Way and it is hard to leave my driveway when cars are speeding on the street. I have noticed that my neighbors have the same problem. If drivers would be a little courteous and slow down, especially when they see cars trying to back out, it would help us a lot. I’ve even been honked at for trying to leave my driveway. Even on school days, cars are speeding by Emmott with children walking to school. Please remember the school zone speed limit is 20mph. Neighbors – please keep your doors locked and garage doors closed. Recently my husband chased off youth snooping around a neighbor’s home at night. We all have to pull together and watch out for each other. Let’s keep Steeplechase safe! Editor’s note: for repeat traffic problems, call the Sheriff’s Traffic Initiative line at 281-290-2100. Extra patrols will be added to problem areas. Steeplechase Swim Team Thank you neighbors for everyone that showed their support of our Steeplechase Stallions in December. We had our first fund raiser at the clubhouse – “Photos with Santa”. Special thank you to Morgan Burcham (and friends) and Candice Santillo, our swim coaches, for answering all questions and concerns brought to our attention. We are beginning the registration process and all the information can be found on the internet at www.steeplechasetx.com. The forms will be in a downloadable format as well as more information about our new swim team. We will also be hosting some registrations on Saturdays and will post signs ahead of time for those events. We will be accepting registrations until the beginning of April, however, we need to get them in as soon as possible to avoid any problems with team uniforms and other associated items that we will need. We are also in need of many parent volunteers for the home swim meets. Our team has an “open registration” which means anybody that lives in the vicinity and does not have a swim team in their own neighborhood is welcome to join the Steeplechase Stallions. Tell your friends at school and your neighbors to come out and join the swim team with you. This team is going to add to the great Steeplechase pride that we already have! Let’s show our spirit and support the swimmers. For more information about swimming, volunteering, or sponsoring, please drop us an e-mail at [email protected] or call Philip Ramirez at 832-875-0763. Congratulations Congratulations to Cheri Deason and family at 12115 Flaxen Drive for winning the “Best of Steeplechase” in our annual holiday decorating contest. Special thanks to all the families who decorated their homes and yards and congratulations to all the section winners. Once again, the four homes on Gold Cup in Churchill featured an outstanding display enjoyed by all residents and passers-by. From us of us, THANK YOU.
