    II. BURIED STEEL PIPES & FITTINGS

    Buried steel pipes shall conform to AWWA C200 with protective coatings in accordance

    with AWWA C203 - Coal-Tar Protective Coatings for Steel Water Pipelines - Enamel and Tape

    - Hot Applied. The pipes inside surfaces shall be epoxy lined in accordance with AWWA C-210.

    Linings & Coatings

    1. Epoxy Lining

    Interior surfaces of all steel pipes, fittings, and specials shall be cleaned and lined in the shop with

    coal tar epoxy at 406 microns dry film thickness in conformity with AWWA C210.

    The pipe ends at 50 mm. distance shall be left bare where field welded joints shall be carried out.

    Field lining of welded ends shall be accomplished after testing of the jointed pipes.

    2. Coal Tar Enamel Coating

    All pipes, fittings and specials shown on the plans to be laid on trenches or below-ground

    shall be coated with single application of coal tar enamel followed by single thermoglass

    wrapping (Double Coat/Double Wrap) in accordance with AWWA C203.

    III. EXPOSED/ABOVE STEEL FITTINGS

    Interior surfaces of all steel pipes, fittings, and specials shall be cleaned and lined in the shop

    with coal tar epoxy at 406 microns dry film thickness in conformity with AWWA C210.

    IV. SUCTION AND DISCHARGE PIPING WORKS

    For pump station suction and discharge pipeworks, the steel pipes shall comply with AWWA C200

    and the provisions of AWWA C203 on the lining of the inside surfaces.

    All suction and discharge pipes laid above-ground as shown on the plans shall be coated with

    rubber alky paint in accordance with AWWA C218 at 200 microns DFT. Final top coating

    of blue shall be in accordance with MAYNILAD standard.
