Dates for your Diary

‘A Night in Shanghai’ - Fri 28th & Sat 29th March

We are always on the look-out for local charities to support with our raffles at our productions. We have chosen our charity for ‘A Night in Shanghai’ (Kent Association for the Blind) and for the November production (The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust) but would like to have a shortlist ready for the next season. If you, or anyone you know, has a local charity close to their heart that you would like to see us supporting through our raffles please let us know.

Sevenoaks Summer Festival We had planned to present another two comedies for our Summer Festival production at a new venue (Otford Village Memorial Hall). Unfortunately due to a variety of difficulties that have presented themselves, the committee have had to take the decision to pull the production.

Although it is still a few months until the Summer Festival we felt it necessary to withdraw now before the Festival Brochure was published so there would not be any confusion for our regular Summer Festival audiences.

One of the main concerns was that we would be using a new venue for the festival for the first time and could not be certain we had the necessary man-power for both front of house and onstage. We do not want to run the risk of presenting something which doesn’t come up to our expected standard and thereby adversely affect our excellent reputation.

November Production

As preparations for ‘A Night in Shanghai’ are

underway we are now fully focused on our Autumn

production.

The proposed performance dates are 1st and 2nd

November at Otford Village Memorial Hall.

The committee are currently working on choosing the right production,

favouring a full-length play, but if you have any suggestions you’d like to

throw into the ring, we are more than happy to consider them.
