DESCRIPTION
Statkraft has developed a virtual power plant to better integrate fluctuating renewable energy from biomass, solar or wind power into the energy market. This allows Statkraft to adjust the power generation of e.g. wind farms and solar parks to customer demand. The virtual power plant bundles the power generation of wind farms, solar parks and biomass power plants that are under contract within the direct marketing regime of renewable power in Germany.
