WHY I WANT TO BE A FELLOW?I am a municipal school teacher from Mumbai, India. I am also starting up my own social entrepreneurship venture that will provide employment to women from underprivileged backgrounds and to the physically disabled. The StartingBloc Fellowship will be a great opportunity for a budding social entrepreneur like me to interact, learn, network and get inspiration from the next generation of leaders and change-makers from around the world. As a Teach for India fellow, I have realized that inequity in education is a problem that cannot be looked at in isolation. My idea is to not only give the children a wholesome education but also tackle the root of the problem, poverty. This is my idea of bringing about change one family at a time.I need sponsorships to not only attend the institute but also to cover my travelling expenses. Without sponsorships, I would not be able to attend institute. Please donate generously and help me realize my dream.
