INTRODUCTIONSydney’s iconic sandstone castle, the magnificent Curzon

Hall, is set upon three acres of landscaped gardens and is a venue synonymous with sophistication and charm.

The Castle’s seven versatile ballrooms can accommodate up to 500 seated guests and offer a variety of stunning features including wraparound terraces, garden views, water features, sweeping staircases and ornate crystal chandeliers.

Curzon Hall is one of four highly awarded properties owned by Navarra Venues, together with Conca D'oro, Le Montage and Oatlands House.

HISTORYFirst completed in 1899 as a private residence for Sydney

businessman Harry Smith and his wife, Isabella Curzon Webb, a relative of Lord Curzon, the Viceroy of India. Curzon Hall originally consisted of a mansion, stables and a separate ballroom with a viewing gallery and an open promenade through extensive gardens.

The stone used in its construction was quarried from a site in Talavera Road where Macquarie University now stands. Most of the masonry work is credited to Thomas Laidlaw and Sons, whose other fine buildings include St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney and St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill. In 1922 Curzon Hall was purchased by the Vincentian Fathers and became a seminary for the Catholic Church.

Curzon's 'Cellars' were meticulously designed to the specifications of Father John Souter and are now protected as part of Australia’s architectural heritage. The Chapel, in its present form as the Grand Banquet Room, is one of the finest jewels in the Curzon Hall crown. Curzon Hall became part of the Navarra Venues collection in 2005.

To Book Your Event To confirm your booking, please contact your Event Producer, who will create a booking agreement for you, outlining your agreed date, event room, timings, price per head, minimum numbers and package inclusions, as well as our full terms and conditions. Your Booking Fee and signed Booking Agreement must be returned to secure your event. The deposit amount is determined by the event room you are booking, which will be outlined in your Booking Agreement. PaymentsYour Booking Fee and signed Booking Agreement must be returned to secure your event. This payment will be shown on your final invoice.Second Payment – equivalent to your Booking Fee, is required eight months prior to your event date. Should you book your date within the eight month period, adjusted time lines will apply. Final Payment – The final payment will be invoiced to you upon your final confirmation of guest numbers and inclusions. The balance will be payable 14 days prior to your event.
