inspiration Recently we carried out a BIG

DEBATE where our pupils in the

Juniors were invited to take part.

The QUESTION was hotly debat-

ed among our pupils!!!! Dr Chris-

tie, who is leading this project,

announced the winners recently,

and I have included part of their

responses below. WELL DONE to

Grace and Eloise in Year 6!

SHOULD THE AGE

LIMIT OF FORTNITE

BE RAISED?

I don’t think it should be raised because

it is not a harmful game. My reasons

behind this are: even if you see messag-

es or hear them you could disconnect

your headset or just exit the game. It

does help you with your teamwork and

strategy, as most of the games you play

in groups. Overall in my opinion I be-

lieve that Fortnite is a harmless games,

even though it may have faults!

I think it should be raised as pupils of 12

or below will get ideas about harmful

activities towards themselves or others.

So I think it should be raised to 15+. Also

another reason is that you have a right

to privacy which you don’t get on Fort-

nite!

CLASSES: SENDAK and CARLE

On Monday Year 1 had a big surprise when they arrived to school. A large egg had been laid in their library area!!!! What a shock! They are helping their teachers by being de-tectives to solve this very strange mystery. Ideas so far are that: the Leys has been visit-ed by a dragon, or even a large hen! I am looking forward to reading their incident re-ports!! Let’s hope we didn’t have a visit from a dinosaur or we will really be in trouble!

Today was a brutal day. This morning I woke up to a gunshot! I jumped out of bed and put on my army uniform. The German soldiers were attacking us like normal but I had a feeling this was going to be a bad day. I told my dear wife to go to the sewers so they would be safe. I kissed her goodbye and gave my son the biggest hug ever. Every day I prayed to God that I would ever see those gorgeous faces again! I ran outside. I smelt the dead bodies that were laying around. I saw a German soldier pointing a gun at me. I ran only because I needed to be alive for my lovely wife and the best son I could ever wish for. When I was running I fell over a rock. A strong pain hit my leg—I thought to myself ‘Is this the end of me?’ I was lying patiently fighting my pain in silence. A nurse ran over to me. I was re-lieved. She bandaged me up and moved me to a safe place...

Wilson class have recently been looking after a very important vis-itor.... Ginger the guinea pig! Gin-ger has come to stay in Wilson class for a while and the children have been absolutely fantastic around her. They are learning how to care for an animal, show-ing responsibility and kindness, and have even got stuck in with

helping to clean her cage!
