Star of the Month! Mikayla Mae McMahon
So we finally started some activities. Just want to say thank you for this amazing
curriculum. My little girl is only 21 months old and has spent most of this year and end of
last year in hospital. She just loved what we did already and I finally feel as a mom and an
ex teacher that my daughter is progressing.
My little girl suffered a 45 minute full fitting seizure at 11 months old and we nearly lost her
that day. By God's grace she made it but what followed was a journey of icu and high care
and 5 more seizures after at that length of time with many tests and many medications.
Unfortunately nearly every medication she had a side effect to. To cut a long story short in
this time my daughter stopped talking stopped laughing and milestones were taking a while
to reach. This year we learnt that her central nervous system is the problem so she's now
finally getting the treatment she needs and we have been seizure free for 2 months now.
To see her fully engaging and capable of doing an activity and learning again and talking
and laughing again has been the biggest blessing I could ever ask for. I am looking forward
to doing the rest of activities with her. Thank you.
