    Using Media to Promote Decent Language, Issues-based Campaigning for a Peaceful, Free and Fair Elections in Ghana in 2012: To have media organisations commit to focusing on using decent language in campaign reporting and to also insist on the use of decent language on the programmes and in their publications by political parties and their representatives; To have political parties agree and commit to using decent language in their campaigning; To monitor campaign activities on social media networks and expose indecent/improper expressions on those networks by political parties, their representatives and candidates; To monitor and publish on weekly basis, findings on campaign language of political parties and the media. This will be achieved by holding a consultation meeting with the media managers of the participating radio stations where the MFWA will sign an MOU with them agreeing to commit to the use of decent language on their stations by program staff and all those who appear on it; the monitors who will to be contracted in this project will produce weekly reports, check compliance of participating radio stations to the use of decent language and report accordingly and when a particular radio station is found violating the provisions of the MOU, the MFWA will have an engagement with that station to draw its attention and get it to comply.

The issue of the reconstitution of the NDPC to respond to the social pact among others has been presented to the Constitutional Review Commission as derived from initial consultation processes so far. ISODEC, working with other civil society groups, is also using this period before the 2012 elections to push the processes because political parties are developing their manifestos and want citizen support. There will be consultations with Expanded Leadership in Parliament, Political Parties, Labour (TUC and other unions) Employers, media, civil society groups at the national and at the regional levels and other citizens, including decentralized governance structures. The Council of State would be informed about the processes after the consultations have ended.

    Communities and their Community Radio Station A Dialogic, Pro-People Approach to the 2012 Elections: Through a participatory community consultation process facilitated by 12 Community Radio stations in 8 out of the 10 Regions of Ghana, and in collaboration with relevant IGIs, they seek to generate three key documents that represent the perspectives and priorities of disadvantaged communities, especially the least-voiced: (i) A Community Electoral Code of Conduct to guide community members/leaders and political parties/candidates; (ii) A People's Manifesto; and (iii) A Parliamentary Scorecard that represents the perspectives and experiences of community members, particularly women and youths and others who are least voiced.
