He is a skilled naturalist and teacher, a magi- cian, husband and father of four, and a five-time Grammy award winner. But those gifts only begin to tell the tale of this Tennessee titan. From this musical icon and legendary bassist comes The Music Lesson, the story of a struggling young musician who wanted music to be his life, and who wanted his life to be great. Then, from nowhere it seemed, a teacher arrived. Part musical genius, part philosopher, part eccentric wise man, the teacher would guide the young musician on a spiritual journey, and teach him that the gifts we get from music mirror those from life, and every move- ment, phrase, and chord has its own meaning... All you have to do is find the song inside. Steve Bailey is a renowned bass player. He is perhaps most famous for his work as a 6- string fretless bass soloist and music educa- tor. Bass Player Magazine writes that "Steve Bailey is to the 6-string fretless bass what Christopher Columbus was to America." Partnering with Victor, Steve teaches at var- ious music camps and clinics worldwide. Additionally, he is part of a bass duet with Victor, known as Bass Extremes, a group that has released three solo albums. Join us as Victor & Steve take us all on a musical journey!
