A. Objective
1. Ensure the regularity, timeliness, and quality of the implementation of
scientific publications in national journals accredited by students of Industrial
Engineering FT UB.
2. Ensure that all scientific publishing processes in accredited national journals
conducted by students have gone through the stages required beforehand,
3. Journal publication addressed to other students and the community as
dissemination of research results that can be read and utilized.
B. Scope and Related Units
The scope and related units is Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory
and other parties that participated are as follows:
1. Head of Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory
2. Assistant of Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory
3. The institution of accredited or non-accredited journal publishers.
C. Related Quality Standard
The Quality Standards associated with holding journal publications are
output standards and performance standards. Scientific journals written based
on the results of research that has been done by the laboratory and the creation
of scientific journals is intended until the publication to a particular publisher.
D. Terms and Definition
1. Scientific publication is the publication of papers containing original research
results or in the form of a review of the results that existed previously in a
scientific journal conducted on the basis of assessment to achieve the highest
level of objectivity.
2. Journal is a quote from the report of research results with there are important
points of the final report.

E. Procedure Ordinal of Journal Publication
1. The Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering prepares the results of
research or seminar articles (in accordance with the requirements of writing
for scientific publications).
2. The Quality Statistics and Engineering Laboratory sends it to an accredited or
non-accredited scientific article publisher.
3. The publishing institution of a journal or scientific article undertakes a
preliminary review of the proposed publication article before it is published.
4. The Quality Statistics and Engineering Laboratory shall revise the article of
scientific publication in accordance with the input and suggestion of the
issuing institution.
5. The Quality Statistics and Engineering Laboratory shall submit articles that
have been amended to be approved by the issuing body
6. The Quality Statistics and Engineering Laboratory shall submit the results of
scientific publications to the departmental administration for documentation
7. The Department monitors and evaluates the publication results annually by
circulating the published publication.

ATTACHMENT 1 : Journal Writing Format
TITLE, ARIAL 11 pt, MADE WITH ALL KAPITAL LETTERS AND PRINTED THICK IN
INDONESIAN MAXIMUM 14 WORD.
The name of the author, arial 10 pt in bold, if it consists of more than 2 syllables then the middle name
abbreviated: Susilo B * 1, Siswanto2 and Putri Adelia3 followed by asterisk (for correspondence address)
and number (for agency).
Name of institution and address written with 10 pt arial is not bolded Jl. Blimbing, No 17, Rawamangun,

Abstract (in Arial 10 pt and in bold)
Please take a minute to read this writing guide to make it easier and easier to edit the editing team. All
the writings are written using Arial 10 pt, flat right and left, 1 space on A4 paper with right margin, top left and
bottom 3 cm. Abstract in Indonesian, written with Arial letter 10 pt, flat right and left, 1 space. This section
explains the essence of a complete paper of up to 200 words including objectives, methods, results and
conclusions.
Keywords: written sequence alphabet is a keyword in research
Introduction (Written in 10 pt thick arial letter)
Paragraphs are written indented to the right of 1 tab. Paragraph shifts are done without spacing. Citation
writing is written in brackets by format (name, 2009), (name et al., 2007) and (name & name, 2007).
Materials and Methods
Material
The materials used are written in this section. When listing materials and tools, there should be a mark
and type for the equipment: spectrophotometer (KJ-2097, Germany) and manufacturer for chemicals: HCL
1N (manufacturer's name).
The method (sub-chapter is written in italics with the capital letters at the beginning of the word, 1 spaced
from the title of the chapter) The sentence below the sub chapter is written without distance to the title. If
there is a mathematical equation, the equation is made with the equation editor and numbered according to
the order of the equations.
Gel Strength Tests (sub from sub chapters are written underscore with capital letters at the beginning of
the word) The sentence under the sub chapter is written without distance to the title.
Results and Discussion
Results
The writing of units is written following the metric system: unit writing is written in all lowercase letters in
abbreviations such as l for liter (not L), m for meters and kg for kilograms (not Kg). the writing of other units
adjust the correct writing rules such as: ind / l, g / ml, 24oC and others. The writing of chemical formula is
written according to correct writing rules: HCl, H2SO4 and others.

Description: Images should be presented in jpeg format and should be accompanied by a comparison scale
to make it easier for readers.
Graphics (written in arial) are created with no horizontal lines and borders / frames. If in the form of bar charts,
graphs are made monochrome or with textures to distinguish between treatments. The size of the image is
made proportional to be seen clearly.

The table is created without a column line. The line on the line is only in the title and bottom cover.
Table 1. Tables are written in capital letters only at the beginning of a sentence and end with a dot. If the
title is more than 1 row, the second row is parallel to the beginning of the sentence.
