This tutorial offers instructions for making
the flowers that are used to compile this
Framed Floral Art piece. Additional
flowers, button and ribbons can be used to
decorate your frame to suit your taste.
Each flower has a full video tutorial
showing you how to assemble each one.
FABRIC FLOWER
Supplies
• Tea for Two Fabric - 2" x 18"
• Other - Needle and thread; Pearl
• Tools - Hot Glue Glun; Silcone Matt
Instructions
Fold the length of fabric in half lengthways so that the printed pattern is
towards the outside. Use running stitch to stitch the entire length of the
fabric close as possible to the folded edge. Once at the end, use the thread
to gather the fabric up as tightly as it will go. Place a reasonable amount of
hot glue onto the silicone matt and place the fabric into
the glue in a ‘spiral’ pattern. Place more glue on the top
side of the flower to secure the pearl in the centre. To finish, unravel some of the
outer edges of the fabric to give a softer look to the finished flower.

SPIKEY FLOWERS
Supplies
• Primrose Petals DSP - 12" x 2"
• Very Vanilla DSP - 1¼" x 6"
• Scrap cardstock - ¾" circle
• Tools - Scissors; Quilling Tools/Tweezers;
Hot Glue Gun
Instructions
Fold both pieces of DSP in half length ways and use scissors to make small
snips along the entire length of each piece from the ‘open’ edge right down
as close as you can to the folded edge. The narrower you can make each of
the cuts the more ‘full’ your final flower will be.
Use tweezers or a quilling tool to roll up the smaller piece
of DSP first and secure the end with a little hot glue.
Wrap the longer piece of DSP around the outside of the small section and again
secure the end with hot glue. Making sure that all the folded edges on the bottom of
the rolls are flat, cover with hot glue and then use the ¾" circle to cover the base.
Once dry, slowly tease out (fold down) the leaves of the flower, a row at a time.

HYDRANGEAS & FLOWER TRIM
Supplies
• Marina Mist cardstock - 2" x 3"
• Ink - Old Olive
• Re-inker - Summer Starfruit
• Tools - Big Shot; Floral Fusion Sizzlit; Delicate
Designs Embossing Folder

Hydrangea
Use Marina Mist card stock to cut out the set of flowers from the Floral Fusions Die.
Emboss the largest flower with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder and then use
Old Olive ink to smoodge all three flowers. Use a bone folder to lightly curl each layer
before adhering together. Finish with a pearl in the centre.
Flower Trim
Cut one each flower individually from the trim. Place a few drops of re-inker into a container and
add enough water to mix and cover the flowers. Place flowers in and leave for as long as you like –
the longer you soak them the deeper the colour will be. Remove from the container and let dry. Add
a little extra ‘smoodging’ to the top of each flower if desired.
