The powerful CAD capabilities allows the user creating 3Dmodel used for simulation in FEA environment without dataexchanging between CAD and CAE. The solid model basedon BREP core represents complicate geometry in extremehigh qualities.

Stamping velocity and strain rate are key factors in certainprogressive stamping filed. On the other side, small featuresand high accuracy requirements in progressive die needsmore robust and more fast simulation code.

2D data is wide used in progressive die stamping, that makeit easy to take mistakes in model building process. Thespecial designed CAD environment in Stamp-Engineeroffers express way of 3D model building from 2D data.

Parallel calculation shortening the simulation time greatly,Stamp-Engineer accumulates experiences in paral lelcalculation more then 15 years.

Good mesh leads good results. The mesh module fulfillalmost all the requirements in forming process, includingsheet metal forming, thick metal forming, forging, heattreatments, casting and welding, as well as the otherst ructure analysis systems. Three mesh methods areembedded in Stamp-Engineer, which are 1D, 2D and 3Dmesh. generators. With the initial CAD geometry, the meshgenerator builds continuous surface topology by justinputting several easy-to-know parameters in simple graphicuser interface.

The special designed Tool-Mesher couldrepresent the tool surface intelligentlywhile the fine mesh in high curvaturezones and coarse mesh in flat zones.Compare to the Tool-Mesher, Blank-Mesher is used to generate uniform meshesof blanksheet to optimize the time step.

Remesh option is an important factor fort he ma te r ia l fo rming . The st a te -o f- a r t tech no lo g yin mesh editing in Stamp-Engineer supports most popularmesh file types such as Abaqus, Ansys, Ideas, Ls-dyna,Nastran, STL and etc.
