How Parents Support Readers• Expect your teen to practice

reading 15 minutes everyday (just like any other sport)

• Encourage your teen to share what they read

• Encourage your teen to focus on vocabulary by taking note of unknown words during reading

• Encourage use of the school and public library

• Expect a book in backpack
