In my opinion, the other instructors

should follow Professor Staley's teaching style because my peers seemed unhappy.567031 After having a terrible experience with WRD 103 first quarter and a teacher who was not at all interested or enthusiastic about the course material, Prof. Staley and his

course were refreshing and informative.567541 I really loved the NYT in this class! It really helped me get a better view of the world and actually apply what I read to the world!567699 The class was extremely enjoyable. Using the New York Times was a great idea, as it keeps the work relevant to the students. Professor Staley was extremely

knowledgable and helpful, and made the class fun.568068 Professor Staley is a great teacher, he helped me out a lot as a writer.

Student Detail555135 Having a laptop is much easier than keeping track of paper copies of everything that we would have had to bring to class. It also saves money. The only downfall is not

having the physical copy of writings to mark on and it is easier to get off track if a laptop is placed in front of students.557415 I thought it was easier than a textbook and easier than reading the board or a projector slide559398 It is a lot easier to follow what the professor is doing during presentations whether it is just taking notes or actually looking at the powerpoints or websites that were linked

for discussion.

559514 The personal laptop helped access information more quickly and efficiently.560727 None562102 It is very helpful because it is a useful writing tool that can access files quickly. However, I think if you are having a problem with your laptop (e.g. a technological

malfunction) it should be accepted that you do not have your laptop. Basically, you should require a laptop but let the course be taken without one as well.562758 It made it a lot easier to use my own laptop rather than using a computer lab.562782 This is my first class that had me bring my laptop.563059 I don't know if the class would have been easier or more difficult without a laptop.563060 I didn't like being required to use lap tops563068 Using a laptop in the class helped taking notes and quickly pulling up articles and assignments so easy. It was genuinely easier to follow along in class and be better
