The Vision series is an all stainless steel shower channel and grate system with a centre outlet, available off the shelf from Allproof. Vision shower channel kits include your choice of stainless steel grate and channel, a VF80 leak control flange and floor waste gully.
The Vision series is available in four stock lengths: 800, 900, 1000 and 1200mm. However, custom sizes are also available, please see opposite page.

Trench Requirements:For the Vision Series, the preformed trench should be made 100mm wide and a minimum 15mm deep.
• The preformed trench that the channel will sit in, needs to allow for some movement, both lateral and vertical - this allows the channel to be raised or lowered relative to the final tile height.
•
The waterproofing is dressed onto the puddle flange, not the channel itself, effectively tanking the entire wet area before the channel itself is installed.

KEY TIPS:
• Use proprietary stainless steel cleaners, detergents, or citric-base cleaners.
• Use water for washing.
• Use careful cleaning with polymer pads, if absolutely necessary.
• DO NOT scrape a stainless steel surface to clean it.
• DO NOT use steel wool, wire brushes or pads previously used on carbon steel.
• DO NOT use mortar or cement cleaning acids.
• Remember, stainless steel requires “Low Maintenance, NOT No Maintenance”
• A regular maintenance cleaning programme with warm soapy water and a final rinse with clean cold water should keep your stainless steel in top condition for many years.
• As a guide, clean your stainless steel shower channel whenever you clean your shower.
• Tea-staining is discolouration of the surface of stainless steel by corrosion. It is a cosmetic issue that does not affect the structural integrity or the lifetime of the material. Tea staining occurs when local conditions (such as temperature, relative humidity and presence of corrosive substances such as salt) are too aggressive for that stainless steel grade in its installed condition.

6 Grate can now be installed.1 Create the trench that the channel system is going to be installed into.
3 Sit channel into trench, using acementitious levelling compoundto achieve a level installation at theappropriate height. We recommendhaving the stainless channel 1-2mm lower than the tiles.
4 Backfill the trench with a cementitiouscompound, taking care not to block theflow of sub-tile moisture to the puddleflange.
5 The floor can now be finished by tilingup to the channel, laying down a beadof silicone alongside the channel.
Install Puddle Flange in bottom of trench. Waterproof to Puddle Flange. The wet area should now be completely ‘tanked’to this point.
