Staff Surveys

Some suggestions for surveying staff:

• Beginning of year: input on lesson plans, celebrations, teacher incentives

• Just before mid-year break, do ‘mini-SAS’• Periodically (at staff meetings?), short

surveys asking about 1 or 2 topics• Once a year – late spring – do the SAS

Creating a Survey

What do you want to know?

• How committed is the school?

• Are Systems and Practices in place and consistent?

Are Supports in Place?• Procedures for responding to

problem behavior• Staff-managed vs. admin-

managed

• Time for teaching behavior lesson plans

• Staff have access to feedback and assistance

• System in place to request assistance for individual students

Reward System

• Does everyone consistently give out acknowledgements?

• Does everyone know how?

• Are tickets used to concentrate on particular behaviors, based on data trends? Do staff members do this?
