Merry Christmas The office of Faith Formation would like to offer a heartfelt Merry Christmas to all St. Thomas Parishioners. Have a safe and happy holiday season with family and friends. To all of our catechists, volunteers, parents, and students…may the joy of the season wrap you in love, grace and mer-cy. Thank you to everyone who makes our RE program pos-sible. There are no words to express the gratitude for your dedication and commitment. Our RE program will take a break over the Christmas holi-day. We will not have classes on Sunday, December 22 or Sunday, December 29. Classes will resume on January 5. We will begin reviewing for the ACRE test on that Sunday.

Godspeed, Theresa

From the Messy Desk of Fr. Rob

Dear Parishioners: “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas/Everywhere you go!” This past week’s snowfall was beautiful to watch and put me right into the Christmas mindset. That is, until I had to shovel it. Thank you to those pa-rishioners, who of their own free will, came over and shoveled the sidewalks on the church grounds. May there be treasures in heaven stored up for you. This is the final weekend before Christmas, and on this Fourth Week of Advent we light all four candles. The Fourth candle representing the Gift of Peace. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches: “Peace can-not be attained on earth without safeguarding the goods of persons, free communication among men, re-spect for the dignity of persons and peoples, and the assiduous practice of fraternity. Peace is ‘the tranquili-ty of order’. Peace is the work of justice and the effect of charity” (2304). With the lighting of this fourth can-dle the Advent Wreath is complete. We are a people of Hope, Faith, Joy and Peace. That is what Christmas brings and births in us. We will celebrate our Christmas Masses beginning on Tuesday, December 24. At 4:30pm, the children’s choir will present a Christmas chorale, followed by mass at 5pm. Beginning at 11:30pm, the choir will present their Christmas prelude, with the Midnight mass to follow. On Christmas Day, we will celebrate the mass at 10am. Each of the masses will have the same readings, which comes to us from the Mass During the Night. Have a blessed week! Fr. Rob
