*Schedule for Ash Wednesday, March 5th: Mass and distribution of ashes will be at 8am and 6pm. Prayer Service and distribution of ashes will be at 12:15pm.

*The Parish Mission will begin the weekend of March 29-30 with Fr. Mays preaching at all the Masses. The Mission will be conducted at 7pm, Monday the 31st through Wednesday, April 2nd.

The Men’s Annual Silent Retreat At Our Lady of the Oaks Retreat House
The Men’s Annual Silent Retreat, at Our Lady of the Oaks Retreat House in Grand Coteau Louisiana, will be April 3-6, 2014. This is a wonderful opportunity for reflection and listen-ing to God’s plan for each one of us. The retreat is based on the “Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola”. Each re-treatant has a private room and bath, private adoration time, five talks each day, and plenty of time to walk the grounds under the majestic oaks. Registration is limited to 51 men.

Invitation to the Women’s Prayer Luncheon

Bishop Glen John Provost invites the ladies of the Dio-cese of Lake Charles to the Women’s Prayer Lunch-eon, Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 11:30 AM at the Ave Marie Hall across from the Immaculate Concep-tion Cathedral. This year’s topic is the Gospel of Luke. For those planning to attend, the Bishop asks that you prepare by reading the Gospel of Luke, Chapters 16-19:27.
The cost of the luncheon is $15.00 per person. Checks should be made out to the Diocese of Lake Charles and mailed to Gaynell Carrier, Diocese of Lake Charles, 414 Iris Street, Lake Charles, La. 70601. Please enclose a self- addressed and stamped enve-lope to be used to send your ticket to you. The dead-line for receipt of your paid reservation is Friday, March 14.
Since the April luncheon will be two weeks after this luncheon, you may also purchase your ticket for the April 2 luncheon at this time. Save the Date! Take part in this year’s fundraising events for the Missionaries of La Salette on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Prepare for the fun of “Run for the Son” and sprint your way to victory in the 5K Challenge or 1 Mile Fun Run beginning at 8:00 am. The race will begin and end at Heri-tage Square in downtown Sulphur.
Pre-Registration is underway and race applications are avail-able at St Theresa's church office, local running shops as well as on-line at www.active.com. Registering early will guarantee your official Run for the Son T-Shirt. All ages are welcome to participate. Medals will be awarded in both Male and Female categories as well as age groups. Pre-Registration fees are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run. (Online registration will include an active.com fee) The race director for this year is Shannon Castille.
Then you’ll be ready to enjoy an evening of music and danc-ing at the lively and entertaining Jitterbug & Grub. Enjoy the one of kind music of Barry Badon and the Bayou Boys, deli-cious gumbo, and two exciting auctions! The event will be held in St. Theresa’s KC Hall in Carlyss beginning at 5:00 pm until 11:00pm. Cost is only $20 per person. Dinner will be served starting at 5:00 pm with the entertainment at 7:00 pm.
