JAGITUDE….

jag.i.tude /jag’i-tood

adjective:

A reference to how one carries themselves

when full of the pride in being a St.

Antoninus Jaguar. (Ex. They had a certain

Jagitude about them.)

noun:

The passion it takes to be the best! (ex. The other schools knew it was over when they showed their Jagitude!)

THE ROSEMOND REPORT

Dear Parents,

It’s good to be back to school! I heard that last week from any who

shared with me, from small to tall! I couldn’t agree more! I’m sure there

are more things to talk about now at home too. My prayer is that we

continue to be permitted to remain at school.

One new option opened for us last week outdoors. The teachers

and I attended a blessing ceremony after school for an outdoor

classroom right here on our campus grounds. A young man named

Matthew Rechtin, who is a parishioner, constructed wooden benches, a

wooden podium, and a matching wooden classroom chalkboard as his

Eagle Scout Project. All these items are very well made and sturdy

structures! Matthew and his family attended the blessing ceremony

with us, and since then, many of our classes have met in this new and

airy space. We hope to utilize this quite a bit and take advantage of

some garden spaces bordering this classroom soon as well.

Your child’s teacher(s) will be sending out videos this week in lieu of

in-person Curriculum Nights. Please watch your email for their link.

They will also post their videos on our teacher web pages.

Jag-A-Thon announcements will be coming home very soon! I am

pleased that we can still have this happy event! Some procedural

changes were made due to social distancing, but I’m sure we’ll all still

have lots of fun to look forward to September 18th. Please save/mark

the date!

Yours in Christ,

Marianne Rosemond

FORGOTTEN ITEMS

School may not have parent visitors during the school day when children are present. If your child forgot their lunch, eyeglasses or medication a parent can drop

off that item on the table in the main lobby of school (a mask must be worn before you enter the building). You may NOT drop off forgotten books or projects.

TARDIES & EARLY DISMISSALS If possible please do not schedule appointments during the school day. If your child is tardy or

needs to leave school early, please take note-

Tardies- A parent must walk their child to the front door and ring the doorbell. The child will enter the school by themselves and will get his/her temperature taken. If the child has a

normal temperature, the parent will be given the go ahead to leave.

Early Dismissals-all parents must email their child’s teacher and the school office giving them the day and time of the early dismissal needed. We will make sure your child is ready for their scheduled pick up time. Parents will ring the doorbell and we

will send your child out to you. ABSENCES

If your child is absent, you may either call the main school line- 922-2500 & press 1 or you can

email Mrs. Steinbeck at: [email protected]. Please leave your child’s name & the reason for their absence.

USED UNIFORMS My name is Bonnie Kramer, and I will be organizing the Used Uniform Sales for PTO

this year. We just had one before school started, and we hope to do one again in the spring if

circumstances allow. The Used Uniform Sale accepts gently used uniform

items and the profits from the sale benefit our school PTO. It's a great way to help our school

community find inexpensive uniform items to outfit their children for the year! Below is a list of

items we accept: uniform jumpers and skirts, navy shorts, skorts and pants, khaki shorts &

pants, navy & black leggings, navy & white polo shirts, navy & white banded polo shirts,

uniform sweatshirts, navy & white uniform sweaters, gym uniforms (grades 3-8), class tshirts,

St. A spirit wear, area highschool spirit wear, accessories (belts, hats, under jumpers shorts,

book covers), 1st Communion dresses, pants, jackets, & accessories. Typically items can be

dropped off in the school office anytime throughout the year, but this year due to COVID-19 we

ask that you hang onto any donations until the spring. Once we determine if we can have a

sale and schedule a date, I will send out information about dropping items off outside the main

office or at my house prior to the sale.
