Planned Giving:

Planed giving provides an opportunity to donate a gift that will forever perpetuate our

Catholic heritage. Through your gift, you will help build an active and faith-filled Church that is able to pass on our Catholic faith to future generations. One way to accomplish this is through an endowment. For more information, contact our Parish Office (Nancy) at 305-872-2537 or call the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Planned Giving at 305-762-1110.

“I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.” (Joh 13.34)

It is easy to love someone when they love you back. But it takes strength and courage to love someone when we feel unappreciated, used, or feel our opinion doesn’t matter. It takes courage to “love my neighbor” when he may be someone I don’t like, someone I don’t know, or someone that doesn’t look like me. Pray that the Holy Spirit fills you with all His gifts so we can be examples of Christ’s love.

“In the beginning was the WORD, and the

WORD was with God,

and the WORD was God.” (John 1:1)

Is God calling you to proclaim His WORD

as a Lector?

Answer His call….men, women, teens—

we will mentor and support you.

or the Church at 305-872-2537

The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of the Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a

series of 25 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ

every summer. Our mission is to build the Church by evangelizing, equipping and empowering God’s children to

become radical and joyful disciples.

The Conference is open to all teens entering 9th –12th

grades. It will be July 19-21 in Orlando, FL.

The Conference theme is “See what love the Father has bestowed on us, that we may be

called children of God.” (1John 3:1) For more information, contact Barbara Jackowski at

305-304-8191.

National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is an exciting, biennial three day experience of prayer, community and empowerment for over 20,000 Catholic teens and their adult chaperones. This years’ theme is “Blessed, Broken, Given.” NCYC consists of engaging keynotes and workshops, music, an interactive exhibit area and so much

more! Any teen 9th-12th grades who is interested in attending, please contact Barbara Jackowski for

From Archbishop Wenski:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On the weekend of May 18 & 19, our diocese will take up a collection for the Catholic Communications Campaign (CCC). Please prayerfully consider sup-

porting the collection this year. Fully 50% of collected funds stay right here in the Archdiocese of Miami, while the other 50% of funds support communications pro-jects around the world.

Your generosity provides the Archdiocese Communications Office with resources for sharing and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through the technology available in today’s world, it funds the Sunday TV Mass in Spanish airing on Univision, interview & media training for our newly ordained priests, my Christmas & Easter video messages to the South Florida community, and on-going communication training for parish ministries & priests.

In the Philippines, the island of Samar is home to nearly two million people, about 90% of whom are Catholic. Many live in remote villages outside the reach of tv and internet. Instead, radio is a critical source of information. The Catholic Church has provided the people of Samar with spiritual programming through a dedicated radio station for 20 years. But in 2013, Typhoon Haiyan hit the island. It destroyed the entire radio station. The community has been unable to fund a new station, but the CCC is now helping the local diocese to rebuild the station. Because of you, people can once again hear radio programs that deepen their faith. It is through your generosity that this project and others like it can spread the Gospel around the world.

Support the collection and connect with Christ.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend Thomas G. Wenski, Archbishop of Miami
