SACRAMENT CHILDREN

Let us keep in our prayers the members of our Year 3 class who will

receive the sacrament of Eucharist this Sunday

COMMUNITY CONVERSATION– LEARNING POWERS Thank you to the families who were able to come to our Community Conversation on our

Learning Powers. Your ideas around how they can be usde to support learning at home were very

creative! We will collate your responses and publish them next week. A special thank you also to our

students who lead the discussion and took notes. You helped us be totally engaged in our

learning.

AUSTRALIAN BALLET WORKSHOPS Remember - Middle and Senior students are participating in The Australian

Ballet program Middle and Senior students will need to wear sports uniform to

participate in these workshops - Mondays 13th, 20th, 27th & Friday 31st May

and Monday 3rd June.

SOCIAL JUSTICE ACTION Our social justice focus this term is the Bahay Tuluyan Children’s Centre in the

Philippines. St Monica’s is hosting the annual Bahay Tuluyan Social Justice

Conference for Primary Students on Wednesday 29 May. Senior primary

students from all across the Western Suburbs will meet to build their

understanding of the causes of poverty, how it impacts life choices and how

small thoughts and actions can have a major positive impact on our own lives and the lives of

MOVIE NIGHT- FUND RAISER …we thought we would have a low key, wear your PJ’s or

onesie and bring your pillows MOVIE NIGHT on

Thursday 30 May. In preparation for the release of Toy Story

4 we thought it would be good to back to the beginning and

will be showing Toy Story 1.

Entry is by $20 family donation and we will begin early –

6.30pm and if the kids fall asleep we’ll go easy on them on

Friday.

Senior Leadership and SRC will be selling tickets on Monday,

Tuesday and Wednesday after school and on Thursday before

the movie.

FEES AND LEVIES 2019

Family Fees In 2019 our school fees will be $1395 per family, per year. Fees can be paid in one amount at the beginning

of the year or each term; $348.75 per term

Student Tuition Levies In 2019 the Tuition Levies for each child will be $425 per child ($325 for books & resources + $100 for

excursions). Parents who have a current Healthcare Card can apply to receive the State Government Camps

and School Excursion Fund

CÁC BUỔI TẬP AUSTRALIAN BALLET

Nhắc nhở học sinh khối lão nhi và trung nhi cần mặc đồng phục thể thao trong các

buổi tập bao gồm thứ hai 13, 20 và 27 và thứ sáu 31 tháng Năm cũng như thứ hai 3

tháng Sáu.

HÀNH ĐỘNG CÔNG BẰNG XÃ HỘI

Trường ta sẽ chủ tọa buổi hội nghị thường niên Bahay Tuluyan Social Justice

Conference cho học sinh tiểu học thứ tư 29 tháng Năm. Học sinh khối lão nhi từ các

trường vùng miền tây sẽ hội tụ để tìm hiểu nguyên nhân gây nghèo khó cũng như

những hệ lụy và những suy nghĩ hành động cứu vãn…

GÂY QUỸ - BUỔI TỐI XEM PHIM

Tối thứ năm 30 tháng Năm - Bắt đầu 6.30pm - Tựa đề phim Toy Story 1 - Vé vô cửa

$20/gia đình - Học sinh khối lãnh đạo sẽ bán vé các ngày thứ hai, thứ ba, thứ tư sau

giờ và thứ năm trước giờ xem phim - Sẽ có thêm chi tiết.

per term - if paid in the first 2 weeks of term).

Government Camps and School Excursion Fund which pays the Excursion Levy and can be used to

help pay for camps.
